The project’s overall goal is to enhance the community of Manshayet Nasser by focusing on 150 female preparatory level students who have dropped out of school. This initiative not only aims to support these girls but also contributes to broader community empowerment initiatives. The program assists 150 girls who successfully completed ROOTA’s adult literacy classes, giving them a second chance to obtain their preparatory level education.
Our reinforcement classes are designed to support the success of these girls, changing their lives and empowering them to build better futures. Additionally, ROOTA’s project objectives include:
• Qualifying 150 students, with an emphasis on girls, to successfully complete their preparatory school education. This includes 30 students who are currently studying from home after dropping out of school during one academic year.
• Improving the computer skills of 150 students at the preparatory level through ROOTA’s Proposal for Preparatory Level Reinforcement.
• Empowering 150 students at the preparatory level to learn life skills and develop their creative and artistic capabilities, thus contributing positively to initiatives like Zabaleen children education and also ensuring we support children with disabilities within our community.

The Zabaleen community in Cairo, often marginalized and overlooked, faces many challenges—but among the most vulnerable are the children with learning disabilities. These forgotten children deserve an equal chance to thrive, yet their needs are often unmet. By joining us in this new initiative focused on community empowerment initiatives, you’re not only supporting children with disabilities in their education but empowering them with the tools to break cycles of disadvantage and unlock their full potential. Together, we can make a tangible, lasting difference in the lives of the Zabaleen children and create a pathway for them to a brighter, more inclusive future.
ROOTA has been accredited consultative status with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) since 2021 and the UN Economic and Social Council since 2023. We are also a registered charity, charitable #783861529 RR 0001.
