ROOTA (Rising Out of the Ashes) is a Canada-based nonprofit organization with active engagement in both local and international communities.

While our core programs focus on education and empowerment in Cairo, Egypt, we also maintain strong partnerships and community engagement initiatives in Canada.  This vibrant photograph captures the dedicated ROOTA team, their faces radiating compassion and purpose as they set out to support those in need within our local community. At ROOTA, we remain committed not only to our primary mission but also to serving families in our immediate surroundings who are facing hardship. This initiative included bringing essential donations of baby formula, food items, and other necessities to the local family shelter, ensuring that struggling families in our community feel remembered, valued, and supported. It reflects our holistic approach—addressing both immediate needs and long-term empowerment with empathy and care.  

 ROOTA’s incredible youth team is leading by example—stepping up with compassion and energy to support families in need. From delivering essential food supplies to providing baby formula for local shelters, these young changemakers are showing that giving back starts close to home. Their dedication reminds us that the spirit of community is strongest when driven by the next generation
