Every act of support creates opportunity, dignity, and hope.
Together with our donors, volunteers, and community partners, ROOTA is empowering marginalized communities — especially Cairo’s Zabaleen — through education, sustainability, healthcare, and community support.
Because lasting change begins when communities are given the opportunity to rise.

The Journey Doesn’t End Here… It Multiplies 🚀
This isn’t a one-time impact—it’s the beginning of a lasting legacy.
Every year, we are committed to opening doors for 10 more women to step into opportunity, dignity, and a brighter future. And with the right partners, that number can grow even further.
Will you be part of the Class of 2023 impact story?
We are actively seeking partners to help fund scholarships for our next 10 candidates. Whether through a single gift or sustained support, your contribution becomes more than funding—it becomes a bridge.
A bridge from dreams to diplomas.
From potential to possibility.
From hope to independence.

Thanks to our donors we were able to support around 330 individuals in 2019-2020. The situation is bleak and we hope you will choose to partner with us to help this much needed families.
A good segment of this vulnerable population is day workers living from hand to mouth, relying on their daily wages. As a consequence of government orders to remain at home, these families no longer have any income; many are now forced to eat from the waste they collect and sift through trash to feed their families.
We are seeking your continued support to provide the basic necessities of life, including enough food for the vulnerable, especially during this difficult time. We are looking at supporting this year also another 1000 families in 2021 by providing them with L.E.400 per month equivalent to CAD30. One hundred percent of all proceeds will go to obtaining food materials, immediately, from the local market. Trained and well-geared healthcare personnel will distribute boxes filled with food to those families in need. We thank you for any donation you can provide as well as all your continued support.

EMPOWERMENT:
“Teach a mother to teach the world” Amarok Society.
When you partner with us in teaching and educating a Zabaleen woman you will be investing in not only educating her but you will be investing in a whole family and consequently a community. Eventually, you will see this investment having a ripple effect of empowering the Zabaleen community as a whole.

Zabaleen are eager to learn. Education empowers.
