ADULT EDUCATION
A- Scholarships
In spite of the looming difficulties of the COVID-19 pandemic, our generous donors were able to provide scholarships for women, allowing 10 women to pursue their higher education at colleges and universities for four years. Thank you to all of you for making their dreams come true and helping to break the cycle of poverty through your community support initiatives.
B- Condensed Literacy Education (CLE)
Our donors invested in a literacy education program, specifically the Condensed Literacy Education (CLE) initiative, benefiting around 200 participants over a 9-month period. After completing the program, participants will sit for the primary general government exam. Upon successful completion, these individuals will have the opportunity to continue their higher studies if they wish.
CHILDREN EDUCATION
A- Pre-School
We have 250 preschool children attending classes, with each year between 60 and 80 children being assisted and successfully mainstreamed into public schools.

C- Literacy Classes

HELPING THE LOCAL COMMUNITY
A- DCDSB
ROOTA supported local schools with canned food as part of our community support initiatives aimed at helping the local community and breaking the cycle of poverty. Additionally, we promote literacy education programs to empower students in their educational journeys.
B- St. Peter's Mission in Collaboration with the City of Toronto
In partnership with Port Union Bakery and Starbucks, ROOTA provided croissants, tea biscuits, and bread to bolster community support initiatives. This collaboration reflects our commitment to fostering a supportive environment, which also includes providing scholarships for women to further their education.
