ROOTA is deeply committed to fostering community engagement and environmental stewardship. As a Canadian nonprofit organization, our work begins with engaging and empowering our local communities and volunteer .
Since 2021, ROOTA has been engaging with local community members and youth, such as on Earth Day in April. Inspired by the impactful work of the Zabaleen, "Garbage Collectors" in Egypt, we aim to emulate their dedication to cleaning up communities and addressing environmental issues. This event not only raises awareness about the importance of waste management but also demonstrates how individuals can make a tangible difference in their own neighborhoods.
