ECONOMIC AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS

Glass Recycling Program

 The objective is empowerment for women and girls by teaching them a trade of being qualified to use glass waste recycling technology. After a period of three months, they eventually provide extra income for the household and help with the family expenses. Our ultimate goal as a Canadian Registered Charitable organi

Sewing machines

In 2020, ROOTA mobilized funds to Donate home looms, table looms,  upright looms and sewing/quilting machines to Zabaleen women to assist them in creating self-sustaining income and economic independence. Help us to stop the cycle of poverty.

LOOMS

ROOTA initiated a home loom program for the Zabaleen women by providing home looms for them in their shacks.  We visit them and assign a carpenter to develop a loom to fit the size of their shack allowing them an opportunity to work from home and produce an extra income to help with the family expenses.
